Don’t dive.
Wade.

Wading is a conversation that starts in your language and — a few words at a time — becomes the one you’re learning. No streaks. No flashcards. No guilt. Just water that slowly rises.

Wading is in a limited closed beta — request access and we’ll reach out to wave you in.

Wade the otter
Grab an umbrella on your way out — the forecast says all afternoon.
Third day of lluvia in a row. This city!
. At least your finally gets to do its job.

You didn’t study “lluvia” — the umbrella taught it. Every green word arrives inside a sentence you already understand. Tap one to peek, exactly like in the app.

The water rises with you

The immersion dial is Wading’s heart. It decides how much of the conversation happens in your target language — starting where everything is comprehensible, and creeping up only as fast as your footing allows.

Take a week off? Words fade, the dial eases back, and the conversation meets you where you actually are — not where a calendar says you should be.

Built the way memory works

The immersion dial

Day one is 5% target language — a word here, a phrase there, always in context you already understand. The dial rises as you do. One day the conversation is half theirs, and you never felt the jump.

Words fade. By design.

Every word has a strength that decays like real memory — fast for words you’ve only met, barely at all for words you’ve made yours. Come back after a break and Wade quietly re-seeds what went soft. No streaks. No guilt. Ever.

Talk. Out loud.

Voice mode is a real spoken conversation. Wade speaks with a native accent in your target language — even his English carries it — so you absorb the true sounds from day one instead of unlearning anglicized ones later.

Corrections that don’t sting

Say it wrong and Wade says it back right — warmly, mid-conversation, the way a friend would — then keeps talking. A mistake is a step, not a strike.

Your words are the score

Progress isn’t what you clicked or streaked — it’s the share of the conversation you produced in the target language yourself. When you reach for a word and find it, that’s the number that moves.

Any language you can imagine

Spanish to Japanese to Croatian — plus Klingon, Esperanto, Shakespearean English, and Pirate Speak. If a conversation can be had in it, Wade will meet you there.

A word a day, wherever you are

Each morning Wade sends you one word you’re starting to forget — to your lock screen and a home-screen widget. Tap it and you’re already talking about it. No app to open. No streak to keep. Just the word, and a conversation waiting.

Dobro jutro! Let’s talk about voda — I’ll pour you a glass.
Hvala! I drink so much voda when it’s hot.
Naravno — and hot is vruće. Ledena voda on a vruće day?

One tap into the conversation

Three steps, no syllabus

  1. 1

    Pick any language

Type it — endonyms, typos, and Klingon welcome. Wade figures out what you mean.

  2. 2

    Just talk

About your day, your dinner, your dog. Typed or out loud. In your language, at first.

  3. 3

    The water rises

New words arrive one at a time, in context. The dial climbs. One day you’re conversing.
